Terms of Service
Effective Date: 01 / 06 / 2025
Welcome to Osōku ("Osōku," "we," "our," "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the provision of in-home facial treatments, skincare services, and related consultations ("Services") to you, the client ("you," "your," "client").
By scheduling an appointment, receiving services, or engaging in any communication or transaction with Osōku, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Nature of Services
Osōku provides professional in-home facial treatments and skincare consultations delivered by qualified practitioners in a private, residential setting. All treatments are cosmetic and non-medical in nature, designed to promote skin health, wellbeing, and relaxation. Our services do not replace medical care, diagnosis, or treatment. You acknowledge that treatments are purely elective.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to receive services, or have the documented consent of a parent or legal guardian. We reserve the right to decline service if we believe it may not be safe, appropriate, or within our scope of practice.
3. Client Health Disclosure
Prior to receiving any service, you must complete a Consultation Card and disclose relevant information, including but not limited to:
- Medical conditions (current and historical)
- Allergies or sensitivities
- Medications, supplements, and topical treatments
- Skin conditions, disorders, or concerns
- Pregnancy status
- Recent aesthetic or medical procedures
You agree to keep Osōku informed of any changes to your health or medications prior to each appointment. Failure to fully disclose accurate information may increase the risk of adverse outcomes, for which you accept responsibility.
4. Informed Consent to Treatment
By engaging our services, you voluntarily consent to:
- The delivery of facial and skincare treatments as deemed appropriate by the practitioner.
- The application of skincare products and use of professional equipment.
- Any treatment adjustments required for safety or suitability.
You understand and accept that:
- Individual results may vary.
- Temporary side effects may occur (e.g. redness, irritation, breakouts, sensitivity).
- Treatment efficacy cannot be guaranteed.
You retain the right to withdraw consent and cease treatment at any stage.
5. Practitioner Safety & Client Environment
As an in-home service, mutual respect for personal safety, boundaries, and professional standards is critical. You agree to:
- Provide a clean, safe, private, and distraction-free environment suitable for treatment.
- Ensure a smoke-free, pet-free, and quiet space for the appointment.
- Refrain from any behaviour that may compromise the practitioner's comfort, safety, or professional integrity.
Osōku reserves the right to terminate any appointment immediately if inappropriate behaviour or unsafe conditions arise, with full fees payable.
6. Infectious Disease & Public Health Protocols
For the safety of both client and practitioner, you agree to disclose:
- Any symptoms of illness, contagious conditions, or recent exposure to infectious diseases (including but not limited to COVID-19).
- Any recent surgeries, aesthetic procedures, or compromised skin integrity.
Osōku may cancel, reschedule, or refuse service if it is determined that proceeding would present a risk to health or safety.
